Giving back to community, demonstrating outstanding athletic achievement, and diversifying our economy and protecting our environment are just a few ways individuals and groups are making a positive impact in Strathcona County. 

This Family Day, February 20, people are encouraged to visit Strathcona County recreation facilities, where 100 per cent of admission fees will be invested into the Everybody gets to play™ program. 

Strathcona County’s history took an innovative shift into the present with an interactive, highly visual and informative learning experience. 

Ambulance service provided by Strathcona County has achieved a score of over 99 per cent from an independent third-party national accreditation assessment. 

Excitement is building in Strathcona County for the 2023 Special Olympics Alberta Winter Games, hosted at five local recreation facilities from February 24 to 26 and featuring eight winter sports. 
 

Mayor Rod Frank has officially declared February Choose Kind Month. This February, County residents are encouraged to Choose Kind to help promote an inclusive, healthy and positive community through being kind to one another and themselves.
