Arc

Tip: With an Arc card you have monthly fare caps. While the caps mean you won't pay more than $108.50 (commuter) or $54.25 (local) each month, we suggest keeping at least a $4 balance in your Arc purse to avoid seeing either a low balance warning (yellow) or a deny travel warning (red) near the end of each month.

SC Transit adult paper tickets and passes are no longer available. All adult tickets and day passes pre-purchased will need to be used prior to December 31, 2023. Unused tickets and day passes will not be refunded or exchanged.

Youth, student and senior fares
- Children 12Â years and under ride free when accompanied by a paying customer.
- Youth fares are valid for youth 17 and under or eligible students with a valid student ID who are not in the UPass program.
- Senior fares apply for those who are 65 years of age or older.

Youth local summer passes are available beginning June 23, 2023 at the Bethel Transit Terminal and on June 29, 30 and July 3 at the Ordze Transit Centre.
Summer passes are valid for unlimited local service in July and August for youth 17 and under or students with valid student ID.
Passes are not sold pro-rated for the month of August.
Cash fares
Cash fares are the same for adults, seniors and youth. You can pay your fare with cash in the exact amount. Drivers cannot give change.

Mobility Bus fares
- Mobility Bus tickets and monthly passes are valid on conventional Strathcona County buses. Learn about using the Mobility Bus service.
- Mandatory attendants travel for free when identified by a health care practitioner as required, and documented on the application form.
- You can pay your fare with cash in the exact amount. Drivers cannot give change.

When and where to buy
- You can buy your Arc card or load value to it:
- in-person at the terminals
- online
- Â at various retail locations or
- using an Arc vending machines
Buy your April paper passes on these dates:
Bethel Transit Terminal: starting Friday, March 24
Family and Community Services office (subsidized and Mobility Bus only): starting March 24.
- Thursday, March 30
- Friday, March 31
- Monday, April 3
- Buy paper passes or tickets at either Transit Terminal during their regular customer service hours.
 - Subsidized passes are sold at either Transit Terminal or at the Family and Community Services (FCS) office.
 - You can buy Mobility Bus passes and tickets:
- In-person at the Transit terminals or in the Family and Community Services office
- Over the phone, only if paying using a credit card (MasterCard or VISA). Call the Mobility Bus office at 780-449-9680.

Advantage Parking at Bethel

Subsidized fares
Residents who have limited income may qualify for Subsidized fares. For more information contact Family and Community Services at 780-464-4044.
Transfers
Sometimes your trip may require a transfer between different buses or services (LRT). Strathcona County Transit works with our partners in Edmonton and St. Albert to help you reach your destination.
Your transfer fee will depend on the type of pass or ticket you are using and where you are traveling. Your transfer fee is paid to the operator once you board the transferring bus. Please use the charts below to determine your transfer fee, and remember to request a transfer as your proof of payment.
