As of January 17
- As part of Council's 2024 budget deliberations, Council approved $65 million for the construction of the fieldhouse. The scope, design and budget will be confirmed in 2024/2025, with construction to commence in 2026.
- There will be pre-design work completed in 2024 followed by formal design in 2025. The design and scope of the facility will focus on a full-sized turf field and supporting spaces.
- A new two per cent recreation levy will support design and construction costs. Administration will continue to investigate other sources of funding to support this project.

Location
A central, accessible site has been selected for the proposed multi-use indoor fieldhouse. The site is located east of Broadmoor Boulevard on Buckingham Drive (595.9Â KB) , and is central to Millennium Place and Centennial Park, Bethel Transit Terminal, Emerald Hills Leisure Centre and Sally Stewart Regional Park.
