Celebrate local food, art and music at Savour festival

Strathcona County’s festival to celebrate local independent restaurants and food trucks, and artists and artisans returns on Sunday, July 7.

Whether it’s for date night or a family outing, everyone in the region is invited to join in Savour Strathcona County’s family-friendly activities, while enjoying live music and samples from local restaurants and food trucks.

“We are thrilled to bring together our best local and independent food and most talented artisans,” says Mayor Rod Frank. “I invite everyone to come celebrate local food and art, and enjoy a musical lineup perfect for a summer evening outdoors.”

Those who have attended Savour Strathcona in the past will always find something new to discover. The eighth annual Savour Strathcona County features:

  • Even more participating restaurants and food trucks: 11 local restaurants and vendors, and seven food trucks who have been encouraged to use local ingredients.
  • Wander among the 12 artists and artisans showcasing their unique creations for display and for sale.
  • Outdoor main stage performance by Vegas Wives.
  • An expanded kids’ zone which includes a face painter, a bouncy castle and life-sized games.

Savour Strathcona takes place on Sunday, July 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Strathcona Community Centre Agora at 401 Festival Lane in Sherwood Park.

Admission is free with sample tickets costing a dollar each and sold in multiples of five.
